CISA has been providing shares of the local harvest to low income seniors since 2004. Read more about this program here.

Helping Farmers Help Themselves

Many of CISA's programs are geared toward helping local farmers and other CISA members build their businesses. Farm to School

Farm-to-School
CISA works with local partners to increase youth participation in agricultural
activities in classrooms, cafeterias, gardens, and local farms. Learn more

program in partnership with Fertile Ground and Seeds of Solidarity Education

Farm Sales to Institutions

Farm2City

CISA is working to bridge the rural-urban divide by increasing CSA shares among urban residents and broadening access to locally grown food at three urban farmers markets. Read more here.

Infrastructure

As demand grows for local farm products, CISA is connecting the dots between
farm fields and kitchen tables. CISA works with partners to improve local
infrastructure, and address critical gaps in the systems and facilities needed to get agricultural products to new markets.
