Third Annual Specialty Food Show

Trade show for buyers, distributors and sales representives from all over New England interested in specialty products.
CISA will be on hand to showcase value-added products from our Local Hero members.

5th Annual Fleece Market

10 am-5 pm
WEBS, 75 Service Center Road, Northampton

Many local sheep and alpaca growers will be on hand to offer a variety of fleeces, fiber and yarn from their very own animals. Come browse, buy from the producers, talk spinning and even bring your wheel.

Raising Chickens on Grass for Eggs & Meat

Verrill Farm, Concord

Learn about raising broilers from chick to marketbrooding, mobile coop construction, electric fencing, feed rations and supplements, veterinary care, marketing, and humane slaughter.

Women in Ag: Basic Tractor Maintenance

5:30-8:00 pm
Hampshire College Farm, Amherst

Join CISA for this free hands-on workshop. Nancy
Hanson of the Hampshire College Farm will go
through some basic tractor maintenance techniques.
Learn to troubleshoot, call parts by their correct
names, and most importantly, when to call in the
experts! Nancy will also talk about what to look for if
you're thinking of purchasing a tractor. This is a great
opportunity to get better acquainted with one of your
most important pieces of machinery.

As always, dinner will be provided and there will be
ample time to meet and talk with other women in
agriculture. Please RSVP to Claire at 665-7100 or

For dads (or grandpas) and little kids. We’ll feed (and pat) the animals, plant some seeds to take home, grind some flour to make a cake- then have time for a story and a small feast. $45 per adult-child pair (5 pair limit).

Franklin Land Trust's 20th Annual Farm and Garden Tour
This year’s self-guided tour will take participants to private gardens, working farms and secret places in the western Massachusetts towns of Ashfield, Plainfield and Hawley. 34th Annual Summer Conference

Educational: Over 150 workshops on organic farming, gardening and land care, homesteading, sustainability, nutrition, spirituality, food politics, activism, and more. Special workshops specifically for children and teens. Enlightening keynote speeches on raw milk and sustainable agriculture.
